Week 10 Summer Break

Our last week of summer!  So sad.

On Sunday the 10th we had a birthday party for August birthdays (Melanie, Nathanael and Mary-Anne).

The next day the kittens had their first vet appointment.  Leo had some vaccinations and Libby had a check up and got some medicine.

And that evening Jonathan had his soccer beginning of year party.  It was fun!
And ... Jonathan was playing baseball in the house and broke a slat in our blinds.  I wonder why we have a rule of not playing ball in the house????  Ugh

Tuesday August 12th - Happy Birthday Nathanael!!!  We surprised him and met him for lunch.

After work Jacob had a baseball game, so we went straight there when he got home.  Luckily Jacob gave him a good hit for his birthday!

And we brought treats for the team and they sang to Coach Swift for his birthday!

And then we went out to dinner to celebrate.  We went to Hires Big H because they just opened a location near us!

It was fun!  We opened some presents back at home, but it was late and everyone was still full from dinner, so we saved dessert for the next day.

Happy birthday Nathanael!! We're so glad you were born!

Wednesday - 8/13
I didn't get any pictures, but my dad took Jacob and Hannah to the temple that morning.  They had to compromise on a time because Jacob wanted to go really early and Hannah wanted to go much later.  They settled on 8:00.
We had a primary activity for all primary kids at our house that afternoon, so we were busy getting ready for that.  We don't have a very big primary (like 20 kids) but we had a pretty good turnout.  I think we had 18 kids come, so that was good.

8/14 Thursday

Hannah had a soccer tournament down in Provo.  It was a beautiful evening and the fields they played on were SO NICE! They tied their first game.

Friday 8/15

Another game! We got dinner there. They have a few food trucks.

Another beautiful night!  Hannah wasn't feeling well, but she still went and played and they did great.  They won that game.

Saturday 8/16
Hannah had a game in the morning, and they won!  She still wasn't feeling very well, but she played her best and her team played really well.  They got to play in the championship, so we went and got lunch and went to Amery and Josiah's house to eat since they live close by.  They also came to her games and it was so fun to have family come support her!

They lost the championship game, but it was so fun to have them play in the finals! Good job Copper Mountain!

It started raining as soon as the girls were done and then it turned into a sand storm pretty much the whole way home.  It was gross.

It was quite the week!  We didn't end up doing as much as we wanted because Jonathan was sick at the beginning of the week and then Hannah was sick at the end.  But we soaked up as much summer as we could.
